Junior Police Academy (JPA) allows youth to experience law enforcement firsthand, offering a fun and interactive camp modeled after actual police recruit training. The camp covers many aspects of law enforcement with classroom instruction, hands-on training, scenarios and more!
Students will learn the basic operations of a police department and explore career options in criminal justice while meeting members of the Allen Police Department.
Summer 2022 Camp Enrollment
Summer 2022 update: All summer 2022 camps are now full.
How to enroll: Students must complete an online application which includes medical release forms and parental release forms. A mandatory background check is run on all applications.
Summer 2022 camp schedule: Camp #1 takes place Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Camps #1-7 take place Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Camps are held at Lowery Freshman Center, 368 N. Greenville Ave.
Eligibility: Junior Police Academy is open to Allen ISD students entering grades 7 to 12.
Camps are limited to 30 students: Students are chosen in the order that all paperwork is received and upon successful completion of a background check.
