There's No Place Like Allen for the holidays!

String the lights and pass the hot cocoa—it’s holiday season in Allen! Hayrides, face painting and family memories await during these special events through December.

(Nov. 25 - Dec. 14) Write a letter for Santa and he’ll write you back! Mailboxes to the North Pole are located at Joe Farmer Recreation Center and Don Rodenbaugh Aquatics Center.

(Dec. 1) Come kick off your Christmas season with a trip through the decades with the Allen Philharmonic Orchestra and Symphony Chorus.

(Dec. 2) Have a hearty holiday breakfast with Santa at the annual Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast.

(Dec. 2) Visit a Christmas themed market with over 60 vendors, complimentary hot cocoa and photo opportunities.

(Dec. 2) Come out to the Texas Health | Allen Holly Jolly Celebration presented by Credit Union of Texas and enjoy a 5K and fun run, light displays, kid-friendly attractions, gourmet food trucks, holiday photo ops, a drone show and the lighting of the City of Allen Christmas tree.

(Dec. 3) Attend Allen Rotary Club's annual Christmas Parade through the heart of downtown Allen.

(Dec. 3) Visit the Snow Queen’s Kingdom where you will be served tea, lemonade and treats, while characters from the Nutcracker ballet visit each table.

(Dec. 5) Celebrate your love of reading and recycling by creating a winter themed wreath using recycled book pages.

(Dec. 6) Let’s sing, dance, and make a wintery ribbon ring! This Winter Dance Party is for ages 3-5 with a caregiver.

(Dec. 7) Paint a fun snowman ornament as a family, then enjoy some snowman stories while the ornaments dry. For ages 5+.

(Dec. 9) Meet Santa and enjoy breakfast with the jolly, bearded fellow. Visit the elves workshop for holiday crafts and purchase some Christmas gifts at Santa’s toyshop.

(Dec. 9) Grab the family and take pictures with Texas’ version of a reindeer - a longhorn!

(Dec. 9) Attend or perform in a beloved musical holiday tradition centered around tubas.

(Dec. 9-10) See the Nutcracker ballet performed live by the Dance Theater of Harlem along with live music by the Allen Philharmonic Orchestra.

(Dec. 10) Enjoy a performance by Allen Academy of Skating and Allen Community Ice Rink Skaters at the Holidays on Ice show.

(Dec. 10) Step back in time to enjoy the simpler way of life and experience "Christmas on the Prairie" at the Heritage Village.

(Dec. 10) Cookie lovers - join Allen Public Library for the annual cookie exchange presented by Food for Thought Market and Café.

(Dec. 10) Enjoy songs of the holiday season with the Allen Community Band at their annual Merry & Bright Christmas Concert.

(Dec. 11) Celebrate the start of Winter Reading Challenge by coloring your own Snowman Mini Bag.

(Dec. 12) Craft a fun and glowy disco ball with plastic cups, zip ties, and Christmas lights. For grades 7-12.

(Dec. 14) Get pictures of your pooch with Santa. A professional photographer will be on site with take-home images available to you.

(Dec. 14) Create a simple snowflake wreath to hang on your door at home. For grades K-3.

(Dec. 14) Create a variety of crafts to help you get ready for the holidays. Ages 18+.

(Dec. 16) Glide into the holiday break at Allen Community Ice Rink with themed activities, festive music and a holiday sweater contest.

(Dec. 17) Have a jolly time at Allen Community Jazz Band's annual Christmas Concert.

(Dec. 18) Create birthday and holiday cards to share with family and friends. For grades 7-12.

(Dec. 21) Visit Santa’s reindeer up-close before they take flight on Christmas Eve.

(Dec. 27) Skate with Santa at his disco-themed ice skating afterparty. A live DJ, special games and costume contest.
